The family is planning a celebration of Preston’s life with friends and family and the skiing and cycling community that Preston loved from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 5, at Mittersill Performance Center, 135 Mittersill Road, Franconia, NH 03580. Everyone is advised to drive from Franconia up Route 18 to avoid anticipated tourist traffic jam at the Cannon Mountain/Peabody Lodge Exit on I93
